Roma Targets Jadon Sancho in Loan Bid as Man United Seeks Permanent Sale
Sports 7 days ago
Manchester United have received a season-long loan offer from Roma for Jadon Sancho, who remains sidelined at Old Trafford. The 25-year-old winger, earning £250,000 weekly, is not part of Ruben Amorim’s strategy, prompting United to seek a permanent transfer fee of £20-25m instead. Juventus and Borussia Dortmund, Sancho’s former club, have also shown interest this summer.
Sancho’s recent loan spell at Chelsea saw him lift the Conference League, adding to his prior Dortmund stint. With one year left on his United contract (plus a club option), his 83 appearances, 12 goals, and 6 assists highlight his mixed tenure. Meanwhile, United aims to offload other players like Garnacho, Antony, and Malacia.
Roma is also pursuing Aston Villa’s Leon Bailey, who has two years remaining on his contract. Bailey’s 22 goals in 144 Villa appearances make him an alternative target. The transfer window’s closure intensifies negotiations, with Sancho’s future hinging on wage compromises and competing bids.
