Netanyahu Warns of Efforts to Divide Christians and Jews in the US

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has warned of a growing campaign to weaken the bond between Christians and Jews, particularly in the US. At the ’Together As One’ event in Jerusalem, he emphasized Israel’s unique role in safeguarding Christian communities in the Middle East, contrasting it with the decline of Christian populations in areas under Palestinian control. Netanyahu accused media influencers of spreading lies that portray Israel as an enemy of Christianity.
Pastor Paula White-Cain, a spiritual advisor to former President Donald Trump, joined Netanyahu at the event, underscoring the importance of Christian-Jewish solidarity. Pastor John Hagee of Christians United for Israel (CUFI) echoed these concerns, stating that anti-Israel narratives are being amplified to benefit Palestinian extremists. He warned that such efforts aim to dismantle the alliance that has long supported Israel in the US.
Recent incidents, including allegations of extremist settlers targeting a historic church in the West Bank and an IDF strike on a Gaza church, have fueled tensions. However, investigations revealed the West Bank fire caused no damage to the church, and the Gaza strike was accidental. Netanyahu urged unity in defending shared values and truth against falsehoods.
