Eating a diet low in ultra-processed foods (UPFs) and exercising can cut the risk of type 2 diabetes, even in people with a strong genetic predisposition to the condition, new research suggests. The findings are being presented at the annual meeting of the European Association for the Study of Diabetes (EASD) in Milan, Italy, Sept. 28–Oct. 2.
